Do you support Intro385 requiring landlords to clean up asthma triggers (mold)?

Indoor allergens like mold & roaches contribute to asthma attacks, esp. among low-income NYC kids. Tenants across the city face landlords who refuse to do anything about it, and their health suffers.

Do you support the end of water fluoridation?

There is no hard data that water fluoridation has been beneficial, in fact, neurological and autoimmune diseases have sky rocketed. AND even if there were there is no way to measure intake.

Why do you support the Marine Transfer Waste Site on E. 91st St?

It is in a flood zone in big storms (Sandy) and a residential neighborhood with a high asthma rate, where 80 garbage trucks a day will be threatening to the health of many.

What changes to water filter systems will be applied to remove carcinogens? has completed nation-wide study on water systems. NYC has 6 carcinogens & 8 other contaminants. Wealthier counties were completely safe.

I am the husband of a woman who has reached the end stage of this horrible disease. My 62 year old son is her full time care giver. Why aren't we putting as much effort as we did to cancer or HIV

Stigmatization of Mental illness continues to be one of the Greatest Barriers for People who suffer from this Diagnosis. More must be done to bring awareness to the Public through Media.

Do you support menu labeling at all NYC restaurants?

Delaying and weakening menu labeling would hinder the public’s ability to make their own, informed choices about how many calories to consume when eating out, which is linked to obesity.
