Would you support a ban on assault weapons, both automatic and semi-automatic? If not, why? Why would an honest American need an assault weapon simply for self defense?

How will you lead NYC in a transition to 100 percent renewable energy?

Climate change is here and now. 10/29 is the 5th anniversary of Sandy, which I lived through. Recent storms are tragic reminders of our need to get off fossil fuels. NYC can and should lead the way!

How will you protect immigrants here from deportation by Trump administration?

The arrest & deportation of innocent immigrants is racist, un-American and unconstitutional. We must protect our immigrants; we all live here harmoniously; we are all immigrants originally.

How will you protect immigrants, people of color, transgender, . . . from Trump?

He has given voice to KKK, white supremacists, energized the most extreme right (Nazis), and emboldened hate groups in general leading to a rise of attacks against minorities of all sorts.

Do you feel judges should be held accountable like other public officials?

Judges are the only public officials who enjoy immunity from being sued, yet decisions without a jury trial can be based on bias, prejudice, and be contrary to the law. (I have personal experience)

Why isn't there some sort of alarm with numerous guns are purchased by one?

It seems to me that when anyone has the amount of guns Paddock had there should be some sort of alert that goes off. I had a conceal permit for years but feel 47 guns is a sign of trouble.

We have the Rule of Law to abide by yet some cities (NYC included) are currently aiding and abetting illegal aliens. Is it OK to pick and choose which laws to enforce and which ones to ignore?

Do you believe in reforming voting to allow open primaries in New York State?

Having closed primaries in the 2016 presidential election kept millions of registered Independents from casting votes. We need more flexibility to chose candidates based on the issues not a party.

Our public library buildings are being sold for less than the value of the land they sit on, and torn down, to allow developers to erect luxury condo high-rises, forcing many residents to leave.
